Uttarakhand Film Association (UFA) announces its 9th Cultural Event and Award Function to be organized on 24th November 2018 (Saturday) at ONGC Community Centre, Dehradun (Uttarakhand). Uttarakhand Film Association was conceived in 2001 with the vision to promote Film and Television Industry in Uttarakhand and offer the opportunity and recognition to regional Director, Producer, Writers, Singers and nurture young talent form the state in the field of Cultural Contributions. The idea was further taken forward to create a collaborative platform for Regional Talent and Bollywood Mainstream Silver Screen. The association is involved with organizing several cultural programs in past decade and develop the cultural entrepreneurship in the state of Uttarakhand.

Initiated in Year 2001, ‘Uttarakhand Film Association’ aims towards evolution, progress and promotion of Film and Television Industry within the state of Uttarakhand. It offers an extensive and proactive platform for Regional Uttarakhandi Film Producers, Directors, Script Writers, Singers, Artists, Actors and Entertainers hailing from Garhwal and Kumaon regions. With the Vision towards Socio-Cultural Interaction, Uttarakhand Film Association stimulates and encourages the young, underprivileged or unrecognized talent within the state and offers them recognition and platform to showcase and leave their mark in the entertainment industry. Nestled in the lap of Himalayas, with its Scenic Landscapes, Diverse Wildlife, -often referred as the Land of the Gods or Dev-Bhoomi, the state has a huge unexplored potential both in terms of nurturing the regional talent and offering the global entertainment industry a landmark destination.

“Uttarakhand Film Association” in past several years undertook several steps, initiatives and organized cultural events and regional ceremonies to make a connect of the Regional vs. Bollywood and bring the state of Uttarakhand as favored destination for Film and Television Industry and concept of UFA Awards takes the same initiative forward.

UFA Awards 2018 is announced to be organized in Dehradun to ceremonialize, showcase and offer collaborative platform to regional talent by the artists hailing from the state of Uttarakhand. Lifetime Achievement Awards and Guests of Honor for UFA 2018 will be renowned dignities with their contribution and support to the Regional Talent and inspiriting mentorship.

UFA Award Distribution will be preceded with a Cultural Showcase program, Welcome Address by Speakers and Conjoint Discussion towards possible initiatives for creating the state of Uttarakhand as the Social, Cultural and Film Shooting Location hub for Film and Television Industry.
